# Manage workspaces

In Aximo, you can create workspaces from the left sidebar and change settings or archive workspaces as needed. Use these actions when you want to organize active workspaces or update names for different purposes.

## Switch workspaces

1. At the top of the left sidebar, click the current workspace name or **Select workspace**.
2. If you have many workspaces, enter part of the workspace name in **Search workspaces...**.
3. Click the workspace you want to open.

## Create a workspace

To create a new workspace, follow these steps.

1. At the top of the left sidebar, click the current workspace name or **Select workspace**.
2. In the menu, click **Create workspace**.
3. Enter the **Workspace Name**.
4. Optionally, enter a **Description**.
5. Click **Create Workspace**.

When creation is complete, Aximo opens the results screen for the newly created workspace.

## Change workspace settings

To update a workspace name or description, follow these steps.

1. At the top of the left sidebar, to the right of the current workspace name, click the **actions menu** (⋮).
2. Click **Workspace settings**.
3. Enter or update the **Workspace Name**.
4. Optionally, enter or update the **Description**.
5. Click **Save changes**.

After saving, the updated workspace name or description is applied.

## Archive a workspace

To archive a workspace you no longer need, follow these steps.

Archived workspaces are hidden from the workspace list.

1. At the top of the left sidebar, to the right of the current workspace name, click the **actions menu** (⋮).
2. Click **Archive**.
3. Review the displayed information.
4. Click **Archive**.
